LDA DESIGN HAS WON BURGESS PARK DESIGN COMPETITION
LDA Design has been chosen from 112 design consultancies that entered the competition to carry out the design of Burgess Park in Southwark.
The park has been allocated £2 million by the Mayor of London's 'Premier Park' scheme and an additional £4 million from the Aylesbury New Deal for Communities. Burgess Park is adjacent to the Aylesbury Estate and provides a valuable open space for residents, many of whom do not have gardens, so investment to make the park a high quality space with lots of offerings to cater to different uses among the local community is especially welcome in a high-density urban area. Our winning design will see Burgess Park undergo a major transformation, giving it a far stronger landscape design with a clear identity.
