Local authorities are at the heart of delivering binding carbon emissions reduction and low carbon energy targets, but how will they go about this and deliver them with limited and reducing budgets?
This session explores how to plan, find, deliver and even gain an income from energy projects and the role energy planning can play in supporting growth strategies and place-making. It will look at the role and benefits for local authorities, developers, energy companies, communities and co-operatives.
Rob Shaw will lead the event and introduce Ruairidh Jackson from The Co-operative Group to discuss funding and delivery models and Angie Jukes from Stockport Council with her experiences in working toward new models of delivering infrastructure in masterplans.
