Cliveden Village: New Buildings in an Historic setting

Cliveden Village is a 135 sustainable home community designed for Countryside Properties and the National Trust adjoining the listed grounds of the estate. The development comprises a contemporary design set within the wooded fringes of the estate reflecting the close working relationship of our architect, landscape architect and ecology teams which has resulted in a sensitive layout that sits comfortably within its extraordinary landscape context. The project is recognised as exemplary by CABE. Passive design principles, orientation, solar water heating and thermal mass allow optimum natural light and heat. A palette of natural materials, including copper, stone and indigenous timbers, blends the buildings with their surroundings.
