The Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is England’s largest AONB and the second largest protected landscape after the Lake District National Park.
We worked with the Cotswolds Conservation Board to prepare an AONB Landscape Character Assessment (LCA) and Landscape Strategy and Guidelines (LSG). The LCA describes the current landscape and the forces that have shaped it. The LSG presents a suite of strategies and guidelines to guide positive and sustainable change.
The reports have informed planning, woodland creation, project development, agri-environment schemes and the AONB management plan, the first ever produced by a conservation board.
