Homes England has selected LDA Design for its new four-year technical services framework. LDA will provide placemaking, masterplanning and design services. The framework also includes town planning and environmental leadership.
The £200m framework is Homes England’s largest. It seeks to drive quality in placemaking. The new Lot includes 10 consultancies. It will provide easy access to specialists delivering well-designed, sustainable, low-carbon communities. These specialists include urban designers, landscape architects, ecologists, planners, and community engagement specialists.
Barry Cummins, Chief Development Officer at Homes England, said that the agency wants to work with ambitious suppliers who can help drive regeneration and housing delivery to create thriving places across the country.
LDA Design leads a talented team of specialists including BSG Ecology, Buttress, City Science, dRMM, Environment Systems, Haydens, Land Systems Management, Levitt Bernstein, Participatr, Real Worth, Tulley Bunting, Ridge, Soundings, Vectos and ZCD Architects.
Paul Connelly, Director of Planning and Regeneration, leads LDA Design’s team on the framework. He said: “We are delighted to be on this framework and to continue our two-decade long relationship with Homes England to deliver even better places and more sustainable outcomes over the coming years.”
For LDA Design, successes this year include securing planning consents for two significant Homes England schemes in Plymouth and Bristol.
The DaRTS Homes England Framework runs from 2023–2027.
