I graduated with a masters from the University of Sheffield in 2020 and have since worked in Leeds in Planning, primarily developing LVIAs for large-scale infrastructure projects, before making the move to Bristol and joining the Environmental Planning team at LDA Design.

I’m particularly interested in nature restoration, at both small and large scales. A key interest is how landscape professionals could, and should, participate in and influence rewilding projects. I see nature restoration and rewilding as a strong tool to combat the climate crisis.

When I’m not working, I love experiencing new landscapes through travel. I’m a keen cyclist and runner and like to keep active while spending lots of time surrounded by nature. I’m also a big music fan and love noodling on my guitar and going to gigs (ideally jazz).

Q&A

I love the view from ...

My seat at Bradford City’s stadium! When the football is boring, you can look at the skyline of hills, mosques and Victorian mills beyond.

The last book I read was …

'Regenesis' by George Monbiot. He sets out how our current methods of food production are unsustainable and paints a picture of how the future might look if there was a global effort to improve – with big implications for our landscapes!

If you could change one thing about your local high street ...

It would be a more friendly place for pedestrians and cyclists, and less accommodating for cars.
