Carly Chisholm
Studio Manager

I joined LDA Design as studio manager for Glasgow in 2023. I have been lucky enough to have a varied career to date working in hospitality and events before venturing into project management. I’ve worked across various industries such as construction, landscape design and telecoms. One of my most challenging roles, but also one of the most rewarding, was managing the Diving Village accommodation in Edinburgh for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
I am an avid interior enthusiast and can often be found upcycling furniture in my spare time. I used to sing in a 10-piece soul band and still occasionally take part in the odd jam session or acoustic mic night.
Q&A
From the outdoor viewing tower within Charles Rennie Macintosh’s The Lighthouse building in Glasgow. Everyone forgets to look up and appreciate the beauty of our buildings - it’s one of my favourite views to escape to.
Climbing Mount Coolum in the Sunshine Coast, Australia. Breath-taking coastal views.
'Buddha Da' by Anne Donovan. A working-class Glaswegian decides to find the meaning of life through Buddhism, whilst navigating his family and everyday life. An endearing read however, also an interesting read as written in local dialect!
