A chartered landscape architect with over twenty years’ professional experience, I have worked in leading practices in the UK and Australia on a diverse portfolio, from significant urban realm to site-sensitive planting designs. I am a member of the Southwark design review panel and an associate on the Design Council’s network of experts.

I believe in enriching our landscapes and public realm as part of a genuine placemaking process. My approach is founded on an understanding of people, context and nature to create meaningful places which engage their communities, are memorable and endure over time.

Far too much of my time is spent researching and drinking great coffee, not quite enough time experimenting in my garden, and I love (almost) everything Spanish.

Q&A

The last book I read was ...

Beth Chatto’s 'Garden Notebook', although I’m not finished. It’s taking a while as I am delving in throughout the year for inspiration - it is the perfect combination of personal diary and horticultural guide.

What nearly always works for projects ...

A site-specific approach and an open mind. Each site is special for its history, context and use and a one size fits all approach never works.

I love the view from …

The Tramuntana mountains in Mallorca. Surrounded by orange trees, over the town of Soller and toward the sea.
