Colin Goodrum
Director
Out of my 34-year professional experience, 29 years have been spent here, where I lead major energy, infrastructure and development projects. I was LDA Design’s first managing director serving a three-year term, which came to an end in 2019.
I established the practice’s EIA and Planning teams and I am the company’s most experienced expert witness. My approach as a landscape architect to the complex environmental and design challenges of major projects is shaped by working on and leading consented and built schemes throughout the UK, from strategy and inception through to delivery and management.
I am currently working on a planning application increasing the capacity of Purfleet Port, and one for a 700 dwelling greenfield development at Fleet.
Q&A
A serious quantity of coloured crayons will be uncovered if anyone ever has to lift the floorboards in the Peterborough office. My children carefully posted them through the gaps whenever they came in at weekends, and I suspect I was years late in spotting what was going on.
Chris Baines, for his pioneering enthusiasm for urban wildlife. He was my tutor for my post grad landscape design course and then continued as my mentor.
The lone oak you see from the M5 at the junction for Worcester. It stands like a beacon on a low hill, challenging the surrounding road infrastructure. I hope it will never be lost to road widening.
