I joined LDA Design in 2013, having graduated from University College Falmouth with a degree in Spatial Design and spent four years travelling and working in design firms in Australia, China and England, indulging a passion for culture and an interest in environments for people.
Since joining LDA I have completed a Post Grad in Landscape Architecture but I have retained my inter-disciplinary approach. I have been involved in a range of green infrastructure, masterplanning and public realm schemes including Fresh Aire, Serp & Molot, Exeter Science Park, Weston-super-Mare Town Centre Regeneration, and Porth Teigr.
What I want is to create everyday places that are beautiful – places that people remember, that make people smile and that people love. When I’m not working, you’ll find me enjoying nature and the outdoors – on a bike, surfing my favourite spots, walking the coastal path or drinking beer on the quay in the sunshine.
Any coastline. There is something inexplicably magnetic about the sea.
Buildings, then spaces, then life. Jan Gehl nailed it when he said, “First life, then spaces, then buildings”. The other way around is doomed to fail.
So many people think driving across town would be quicker than cycling!
