As a designer with a background in sociology, I believe in the importance of design in creating places to meet a simple test: will parents look back fondly when they tell their children about their own childhoods? I’m not so naïve to think that great design makes everything better, but bad design is definitely a barrier to people getting the most from their lives.
I lived and worked in Ireland for two years after post graduate masters from Edinburgh College of Art, filling in the green stuff that the rampant Celtic Tiger spat out until 2001. I have made southwest England home, working to create great places for people to enjoy, like Castle Green in Taunton, and new places to live, like Wichelstowe, Wellparks and Hardingstone.
I love the outdoors and finding any means possible to follow my beloved Munster.
Incredible coffee consumption.

Why Munster can’t find a decent out-half right now.
