I joined LDA Design as an Consultant Landscape Architect and I am excited to be working here. I graduated in 2018 from Exeter University with a first class BA in Geography. For my dissertation, I researched how alfresco spaces alter the rhythm of movement through our townscape and the subsequent importance of creating spaces for work, rest and play. The study focused on Salisbury and Exeter.
I am now studying a Landscape Architecture Conversion and Masters at the University of Gloucestershire. So far, I have been challenged with the development and construction of a former colliery site in the Forest of Dean and the redesign of Gloucestershire Blackfriars. I am also creating an LVIA report for Leckhampton in Cheltenham.
Outside of work and study, I enjoy walking the south west coastal path and travelling to new places both near and far.
Walking from South Sands, Salcombe to the town centre for a coffee by the harbour side. I have so many happy nostalgic memories of doing this walk since before I could walk. The views are a dream.
The Island by Victoria Hislop. A charming yet emotive novel set on the island of Spinalonga, Crete. The events surround the history of the island’s leper colony at the turn of the century. It’s truly fascinating.
I would inject some love into the spaces surrounding the Torquay Pavilion. It was such a thriving place historically, full of life and aesthetic value. It needs to return to its original splendour.
