I began my career as an architect in Japan having qualified as a Chartered Architect (first class). Discovering a passion for creating exciting outside spaces in the urban environment led me into studying Landscape Architecture in the UK. Over the last 10 years, I have gained extensive experience working around the world from a large housing development in Kent to a hotel facade design in Dubai and the British Embassy in Doha.

My move to LDA Design in 2018 has been incredibly positive. It’s inspiring to be part of a team committed to creating exciting, innovative and sustainable places for everyone to enjoy.

In my spare time I enjoy hot yoga, walking, cooking and spending time with my family and friends.

Q&A

My favourite green space is ...

Park Güell in Barcelona. On my first extended trip to Europe, this wonderful public open space truly grabbed my imagination. So much so, that without this experience I might not have become a landscape architect.

As a Landscape Architect, who has inspired you?

Peter Walker. My landscape architect career started with Sasaki Environment Design in Tokyo which was highly influenced by Peter Walker's design ethics.

I love the view from ...

Minato Ga Mieru Oka Kouen in Yokohama. For me, the night-time city landscape view from the park captures the sense and spirit of my hometown.
