I qualified as a town planner and urban designer in 2005, when I moved from Germany to the UK. Since then, I have worked on many different schemes, ranging from public realm projects such as Cabot Circus in Bristol to wider-scale regeneration projects in Cardiff and the South Wales Valleys.

I am now a senior urban designer in the Oxford office, where I am involved in masterplans and framework plans of various scales and contexts, from planning applications to initial capacity studies and promotional material that will help bring forward development in a sustainable way.

I am enthusiastic about creating attractive, liveable and sustainable places and love the variety of projects and topics that I get to work on.

In my spare time, I like to be out and about with my family, to see places and meet friends, and I try to exercise as much as I can.

Q&A

I love the view from …

The train coming into Hamburg, crossing the various arms of the river Elbe, with views of bridges and industries along the harbour before revealing glimpses of more iconic parts of the skyline.

The last book I read was …

"We are the Weather" by Jonathan Safran Foer – a thought-provoking account of the way our choices of food, and linked to that animal farming, impact on the climate crisis, and how our everyday choices can help us turn things around for the better.
