I joined LDA Design as a landscape architect in 2017 after finishing my master’s in Landscape Architecture at Sheffield University.  I previously studied architecture for five years in China.

I’m passionate about design and believe that different kinds of design interconnect. I love to create spaces in which people can truly enjoy themselves.

Since joining LDA Design, I have been involved with some amazing projects at different scales and different focuses. I’m growing my skills every day, gaining a fuller understanding of different materials, plants and spatial aesthetics.

Q&A

The last book I read was ...

Influence by Robert B. Cialdini. It’s about the psychology of persuasion and how we can all be more confident and develop better relationships and fulfilling careers.
Everyone should understand the balance between what they want and what they can achieve, and then find the best way to make their goals come true.

I love the view from ...

The seat in a café looking out on a busy road. It was a rainy autumn afternoon, and the café was fairly empty. People hurried past, umbrellas up. The pavement was wide and I could see the cars driving by, but couldn't hear them. In that moment I found peace between the bustling city and myself.

What is the most memorable thing you’ve ever seen in a public space?

A small orchestra performing in front of the National Gallery. There was a great atmosphere, and the players danced as they played. Then the audience joined in, falling into the music. It was the best street performance I’ve ever seen.
