I am a landscape architect and environmental planner, working at LDA Design for over eight years. I work mainly in development and regeneration, in particular housing schemes, from small scale to urban extensions and new settlements.
I get a lot of satisfaction from helping shape the initial concept for a scheme, and working closely with our clients to present a well conceived development and gain planning permission. I also have experience of coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments and acting as Expert Witness at planning inquires.
Spare time is normally spent running about after my two young children. And turning the end of our garden into an allotment, with mixed success.
Q&A
The New Forest – it brings back very happy memories from childhood camping holidays and my own children love it too. How has such an intricate and interesting landscape survived in such a heavily populated part of England?
An aeroplane window - it normally means I’m travelling somewhere exciting!
Was helping the Rookery Energy From Waste (EFW) facility obtain consent. This was the first DCO project to be approved in the UK and was pivotal in ‘testing’ the DCO process and paving the way for subsequent National Infrastructure Projects.
