Tara Schwarze-Chintapatia
Consultant

I joined LDA Design as a landscape architecture consultant in the autumn of 2023.
Previously my work had been centred around building community and climate resilience through urban forests. This focus lead me to win several awards for my work within the University of Edinburgh, including Best Performance and the Principal’s Medal.
I thoroughly enjoy delving into different cultures and have done so through internships in both Hyderabad in India and Essen, Germany. I believe that understanding the people using a landscape is a key factor to its success.
Outside the studio, I love exploring the outdoors be it through hiking boots or a paintbrush! If I’m not outside, you can probably find me sketching away in a café, cappuccino in hand, illustrating my latest creation of a weird and wonderful children’s story.
Q&A
The white horse over the Yorkshire Dales. Despite the horses rather lanky appearance, the emotional connection you have to a landscape you’ve grown up in is unmatched.
Betula pendula
'The Hidden Life of Trees' by Peter Wohlleben … Yeah, I’m a tree nerd!
