Tom Evans
Principal Consultant
I am an Urban Designer/Masterplanner with qualifications in architecture, town planning and urban design and joined LDA Design in 2014 having previously worked at practices, including Studio REAL and Barton Willmore. My experience to-date includes working on: urban regeneration and extension masterplans; strategic urban design frameworks; urban character appraisals; design codes; and design guides. I am particularly interested in sustainable communities and spent a year and a half working in Germany researching exemplar projects such as Vauban, Freiburg and Hammarby Sjöstad, Stockholm.
Recent work which I have been involved with at LDA Design includes: the preparation of strategic delivery frameworks for four towns in Bedfordshire; 3D modelling and flythroughs for the redevelopment of the New Museums Site in Cambridge; and illustrative masterplans and Design and Access Statements for large-scale urban extensions in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Outside of work I enjoy cycling and playing the guitar and piano.
